Our privacy promise
Stillwalk is built by Ruhu, Inc. (“Stillwalk,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your prayers, journal entries, notes, saved conversations, voice recordings, or other private spiritual content for advertising or to train shared artificial intelligence models.
Private by nature. Core AI, speech recognition, voice playback, and personal reflection features are designed to run locally on a compatible device.
Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the Stillwalk mobile application, the Stillwalk website at stillwalk.app, support communications, and related services that link to this policy (together, the “Services”). It does not govern third-party websites, app stores, or services with their own privacy policies.
Information we handle
Information you provide online
When you contact us, we receive the information in your message and any information you choose to include.
Information kept in the app
The app may hold journal entries, prayers, notes, bookmarks, reading activity, devotional activity, conversations, transcripts you choose to save, reflections, weekly insights, formation paths, preferences, and other content you create. The app’s private database is encrypted and stored on your device. Attachments, exported files, and device backups may have different protections. Your private app content is not sent to Stillwalk servers during ordinary use.
Voice, microphone, photos, and camera
If you grant permission, Stillwalk can use your microphone for voice conversations and local transcription. Speech recognition runs on your device. The app may use temporary audio files for recording and playback; saved transcripts and other content remain local unless you share or export them. Camera frames used by supported features are processed locally and transiently unless you choose to save something. Photos you select remain under the controls shown in the app and your device.
Purchases and entitlements
If you purchase Stillwalk Plus, Apple or Google processes the payment. Stillwalk uses RevenueCat to confirm product, purchase, subscription, and entitlement status. We do not receive your full payment-card details. We have disabled RevenueCat’s automatic device-identifier collection and diagnostics in the app.
Technical and security information
The website may process basic request data, such as an IP address, browser information, timestamps, and requested pages, for delivery, abuse prevention, diagnostics, and security. Our hosting providers may retain standard security and access logs under their own policies. We do not currently use advertising or analytics cookies on the Stillwalk website.
How we use information
We use personal information only as reasonably necessary to:
- provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Services;
- confirm subscriptions and make paid features available;
- respond to support requests and communicate about service changes;
- prevent fraud, spam, abuse, and security incidents;
- comply with law and protect our users, rights, and Services; and
- understand feature use through coarse counters stored on your device.
Where required, we rely on your consent for device permissions. We may also process limited information to perform a contract with you, meet legal obligations, or pursue legitimate interests such as service security and support, subject to applicable law.
On-device processing
Stillwalk’s core personal features are designed to work without sending your private content to a cloud AI service. Compatible devices can run language models, speech-to-text, text-to-speech, Scripture retrieval, personal reflections, and weekly insights locally. Journal and prayer personalisation is optional. You can choose whether to include these sources for devotional personalisation, Your Week insights, or This Week’s Path. These choices do not authorize us to upload your writing. You review a suggested path before saving it.
Coarse product-use counters used by the app are also stored locally and are not sent to an external analytics provider.
Initial model packs, content, and app updates require an internet connection. When you request a download, the download host will necessarily receive network connection information such as your IP address. Availability depends on device capability, storage, operating-system limits, and the model packs you choose.
No sale or targeted advertising
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and Stillwalk does not show third-party targeted ads. If these practices change, we will update this policy and provide any choices required by law before the change applies.
Retention and deletion
Private app content remains on your device until you delete it, use the app’s “Delete All Data” controls, or remove it through your device. Deleting app data does not remove copies you previously exported or shared, and does not cancel a subscription. Downloaded Bible content, model packs, and some device preferences are retained by the app’s Delete All Data action. Copies may remain in device backups controlled by your operating system or backup provider until those backups expire or you delete them.
Support correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably needed for support, security, and legal purposes. You can request deletion by contacting us.
Security
Stillwalk uses measures intended to protect personal information, including an encrypted local database, secure device storage for sensitive keys and settings, limited data collection, and restricted service-provider access. No security measure can guarantee absolute protection. Protect your device passcode, keep your operating system current, and use device authentication where available.
Your choices and rights
You can manage microphone, camera, photo, notification, and local-network permissions in your device settings. The app provides controls to export or delete local data.
Depending on where you live, including under certain U.S. state laws, the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), Nigerian data-protection law, or other applicable privacy laws, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection regarding personal information we control, and to withdraw consent. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority; in the United Kingdom, that is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
To make a request, email stillwalk@ruhu.ai. We may need to verify your request. Because private app content is designed to stay on your device, we generally cannot retrieve or restore it for you.
International processing
Our providers may process limited online information in countries other than yours. Where required, we use recognized safeguards for international transfers and require providers to protect information consistently with applicable law. Local app content remains on your device unless you choose to share or export it.
Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect online personal information from a child under 13. A minor should use Stillwalk only with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian where required. If you believe a child provided personal information to us, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Stillwalk develops. We will post the revised policy with a new “Last updated” date and provide additional notice when a material change requires it. Before using personal information for a new purpose, we will explain the change and obtain consent where required. An update to this notice does not itself provide your consent.
